Thus this might indeed be the source of the problem and is likely not directly related to RStudio. I have turned it back on and started logging. Others mention using OSx when the error occurs. As far as I can tell, this is not necessarily correlated (in time, at least) with the Rstudio issue.

If you delete your stack and start over, it should work. Anyone else facing this issue? That will help us see if anything is being logged that might be helpful. The connection is fine and it appears generate more than 4000 JSON records.
