Everything runs somewhat smoothly but i have this errors reported from readproctitle: root 30555 0.0 0.0 3636 340 ? S 17:45 0:00 >/usr/local/bin/multilog t /var/log/qmail/smtpd ...and the reason is because multilog runs in it's own supervised directory (the "qmail-smtpd/log" directory), as shown here. >[[email protected] qmail-smtpd]# netstat -a >Connexions What does this file look like? When I did that on mine, all of qmail was killed. First here is my qmail-smtpd run script :[***@srv05 qmail-smtpd]# more run#!/bin/shexec /usr/local/bin/setuidgid qmaill /usr/local/bin/multilog t /var/log/qmailCreate the /var/qmail/supervise/qmail-smtpd/run file:#!/bin/shQMAILDUID=`id -u qmaild`NOFILESGID=`id -g qmaild`MAXSMTPD=`cat /var/qmail/control/concurrencyincoming`LOCAL=`head -1 /var/qmail/control/me`if [ -z "$QMAILDUID" -o -z Maybe you intended for this because you're trying a custom setup, but it looked wrong to me because it sounded like you're trying to stay true to LWQ. you may want to check your symlinks located under /service and be sure there are no duplicates...

I > restartet the multilog multiple times as well as the supervise deamons > and the errors remain. with qmailctl stop i get this when i ask to see the process.. But don't worry, this host is for testing purpose only, and I never take time to clean it ^^;Thanks very much for the help.-----Message d'origine-----Envoyé : mercredi 6 juin 2007 19:50Objet http://cr-yp-to.996295.n3.nabble.com/readproctitle-service-errors-temporary-failure-multilog-fatal-unable-to-lock-directory-var-log-qmail-td8855.html And here's the qmail-smtpd log run script (regarding Joshua answer):[***@srv05 log]# more run#!/bin/shexec /usr/local/bin/setuidgid qmaill /usr/local/bin/multilog t /var/log/qmail/smtpdI still dont get it.

There's also the possibliity that there's a bug in the code that you uncovered by setting a config value that's unexpected, but that doesn't appear to be the case.Matt Logged eugeniopacheco Once you find your svscan command, you may want to try stopping it like I described above with "svscan stop". XXX est le numéro du processus
kill XXX

# On redémarre le service QMail
/etc/init.d/qmail start Votre mail sera débloqué et fonctionnera à nouveau sans perte You may want to use "find" or "locate" to see where this file is stored.

I've also try to restart the system => NOK. As I was note sure, I've tried a chmod 777 on /var/log/qmail/smtpd, then a chmod -R on the same dir. I dont have the /etc/init.d folder.. I understand multilog can't lock/var/log/qmail/smtp because it already got a lock on /var/log/qmail/.That's not true, actually. You should see some processes running as root and that's fine. what bothers me.. weblink this is the output of qmailctl stat [email protected]:/var/qmail# svc -d /service/* [email protected]:/var/qmail# svc -d /service/*/log [email protected]:/var/qmail# qmailctl stat /service/qmail-send: down 17 seconds, normally up /service/qmail-send/log: down 11 seconds, normally up /service/qmail-smtpd:

Now do kill -1 1 (note, those are both one's, not L's) which will restart process #1 which is init.

Best of Android .. Sites & Portails web .. I commented out the line in inittab as we discussed and then at the command line, run init q.
