The time now is 10:11 PM. I am having the same problem too and not finding much useful. I movie makes many clips that I don't want, as I need to capture at least 30 min at once.
You may still log offline clips. I had previously tried the suggestions you listed. I'm going to use a different HDV playback device to digitize the footage. It should be flawless.

So I am thinking it is something with the camera? Otherwise, I would go with your assessment that there's possibly something awry with the port on the camera. On another note, I just worked with the EX3 and its 60GB hard disk during last weekend and the quality of that camera is excellent when digitized through Kona; the footage weblink Did you find an issue ??

Getting things done is much cooler now a days. What did you mean by "using HDV o DV?" Are you trying to capture something shot in HDV in HD with FCP set to HDV or do a conversion to/from SD? Thanks. Quit FCP, then switch your camera on, re-start final cut, choose your easy set-up.

If you see red text indicating that nothing is connected, quit FCP and incorporate a POWERED firewire hub between your deck and your Mac.
