I followed http://2tbsp.com/content/install_apache_2_and_php_5_macports and installed php52 +apache2 +mysql5. We need more people willing to take a little time every week. I removed lines 103-116 and 121-131(Drupal 5.1 and 5.2) from /includes/database.mysql.inc and replaced with two simple PHP includes as a fast fix. When I search Google, all I come up with are people who's websites are completely down, not like mine who's functionality is moderately affected.

I'm not too familiar with how we can now go about trying to get this added to drupal core? it worked. If you know how to work with template suggestions, then you can add a file named "maintenance-page-offline.tpl.php" which is picked up only when the db is dead. ⎋ joon park Log Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.
