After doing the above steps, I guess you will be able to open your LAB in GNS3 without any problem. And there is a bug report against --version crashing dynagen, and that will be fixed in the next version. I can get dynamips itself to work fine, and with some rather long command lines I can build labs up but it would be really handy to get dynagen working.

Cinnamon is available for download in a variety of ways. You can see that 10000 UDP port is used by some application, hence i have changed it to 10001 manually in my configuration file and in GNS3. Always this UDP NIO error. Sign up for free to join this conversation on GitHub. Have you tried killing all dynamips processes, removing everything from the working directory and starting clean? All connected ports in dynamips use these tunnels for inter device communication. It is (rightly) complaining it can't connect to UDP 10001, but the reason it cannot connect is because it is trying to use UDP 10000 as a source port.
when I did a sniff it all became clear. Chances are the port is either in use by another process or there is some lock keeping the port open from a crashed dynamips process.
